Το Μονοπάτι της Εκεχειρίας 2018!!!
Σας περιμένουμε στις 22 Απριλίου 2017 για να κάνουμε όλοι μαζί τον δικό μας «Δρόμο της Εκεχειρίας»!
Στον τόπο όπου γεννήθηκαν οι Ολυμπιακοί Αγώνες, την ιερή γη της Ήλιδας και της Ολυμπίας και κάθε τέσσερα χρόνια οι αρχαίοι Έλληνες ενωνόντουσαν για να τιμήσουν τους θεούς τους, η Συμπολιτεία Ολυμπίας διοργανώνει τον «Δρόμο της Εκεχειρίας». Τον δρόμο που οδηγεί από την Ήλιδα στην Ολυμπία. Τον δρόμο που οδηγεί από την Εκεχειρία στην Ειρήνη. Στο διάβα τους οι δρομείς, κήρυκες της Εκεχειρίας, τυγχάνουν της φιλοξενίας του Ξένιου Δία μέσα από τα χαρούμενα πρόσωπα των ανθρώπων που από τα βάθη των αιώνων φτάνει στις μέρες μας γεφυρώνοντας το αρχαίο με το σύγχρονο. Οι σύγχρονοι κάτοικοι, απόγονοι των αρχαίων Ηλείων, υποδέχονται τους δρομείς αλλά και τους περιπατητές με ένα ποτήρι δροσερό νερό από τις πηγές τους, με παραδοσιακά προϊόντα φρούτα, σταφίδες, γαλακτοκομικά, κρασιά, χυμούς, ξηρούς καρπούς, ό,τι έχει ο κάθε ένας… Καρπούς που γεννά η Ηλειακή γη και δίνουν απλόχερα στους σύγχρονους κήρυκες της Εκεχειρίας.
Στον ιερό αυτό τόπο ένα κορυφαίο γεγονός διεξήχθη τον Απρίλιο του 2016 για πρώτη φορά μετά το τέλος των Αγώνων της αρχαιότητας. Ο πρώτος δρόμος που είναι αφιερωμένος στην Εκεχειρία: «Ο δρόμος της Ολυμπιακής Εκεχειρίας 2016».
Εκεί όπου οι αθλητές άφηναν τα όπλα τους για να αγωνισθούν, εκεί όπου ο καθένας όταν έφθανε για να αγωνισθεί τον αγώνα τον καλό, έχοντας κάνει τον δικό του δρόμο Εκεχειρίας από τον τόπο του μέχρι την Ήλιδα, εκεί όπου παραδίδοντας τα όπλα του και συνεχίζοντας άοπλος, συμμετείχε στον αγώνα της ευγενούς άμιλλας, στέλνοντας ένα μοναδικό μήνυμα, εκεί γεννήθηκε και η Εκεχειρία ως προαπαιτούμενο για τη συμμετοχή στους Αγώνες. Ένα μήνυμα όχι μόνο προς τον τότε γνωστό κόσμο, αλλά ένα μήνυμα που διαπερνά την ιστορία και φθάνει στις μέρες μας πιο επίκαιρο από ποτέ. Το μήνυμα της Εκεχειρίας. Της Εκεχειρίας που οδηγεί στην ειρήνη!
Με μεγάλη επιτυχία στέφθηκε η εκδήλωση του Μονοπατιού της Εκεχειρίας στο πολεμικό μουσείο της Αθήνας, όπου βραβεύτηκαν σπουδαίοι ολυμπιονίκες της Πάλης!

In this holy place a top event was held in April 2016 for the first time since the end of the Games of Antiquity. The first road dedicated to the Truce: "The Road to the Olympic Truce 2016".
Where the athletes left their guns to fight, where everyone when he struggled to fight the good, having made his own Truce road from his place to Ilida where he delivered his weapons and continued unarmed , participated in the struggle of noble competition, sending a unique message, where the Truce was born as a prerequisite for participation in the Games. A message not only to the then-known world, but a message that permeates history and reaches our day more timely than ever. The message of the Truce. The Truce that leads to peace!
It took 1623 years to rejoin Ilida and Olympia with this unique event: The first road dedicated to the Truce.
The Path of Truce that unites Ilida (the host city of the Olympic Games) with Olympia (the holy venue of the Olympic Games) is not paved with rose petals. It's uphill, downhill is long and difficult ... just like the cease-fire. However, all of us athletes, military, ordinary citizens holding an olive branch have run and will revert on April 22, 2018 these 49 km to transpose and transmit the Trouble message to the whole world.
From the holy land of Ilia from where the Olympic Games began, we, with our little powers, opened our own little truce. The little truce that begins with each of us, from our home, from our yard, from our neighborhood, from our city, to bring the great Truce to the world. That, this difficult time for mankind, we have as much as we need it.
The road is long and difficult. But all together, holding an olive branch from the holy land of Olympia, giving our struggle, we will unite our forces and become preachers of Truce and Peace.
The Truce must not just be a temporary cessation of hostilities that some use as an opportunity to re-equip it, but an opportunity for dialogue, an opportunity for conciliation, a chance and a breath of life for peace to prevail.
Truce is the most important step in the continuation of dialogue, and through this dialogue, reconciliation among peoples.
Let the ceasefire be the model of friendship, mutual understanding, tolerance, accepting diversity and accepting the supreme value of peace. Every measure of about 49.8 km, from Ancient Ilida to Ancient Olympia, will bring us ever closer to the goal, to bring the Truce message everywhere across the world! Every runner becomes a messenger of this important message of Peace! Peace, which, unfortunately, continues to be a demanding and not non-negotiable acquis.
On the "Road of the Truce" as in the first "Olympic Truce", all the finalists will be awarded, for the road and the way to the Truce are important. Because the defeat will be to fail to reach the goal, which is nothing more than the Truce and the ultimate destination of Peace.
